Summary: We quantified the inherent electro-oxidation behavior of a single Ti(3)C(2)T(x)MXene particle using Single-Entity Electrochemistry. MXene undergoes irreversible oxidation at potentials greater than 0.3 V (vs. SCE), and the extent of oxidation is dependent on the applied potential. A close correlation is observed with ensembles of drop-cast particles with submonolayer coverage.

Summary: This study presents a label-free aptamer biosensor based on gold nanoparticles/multi-walled carbon nanotubes @ titanium dioxide (AuNPs/MWCNTs@TiO2) for sensitive detection of malachite green (MG). The nanocomposite provides a large surface area and good electrical conductivity, facilitating aptamer immobilization. The detection is achieved by measuring the change in electrical signal resulting from the detachment of aptamer from complementary chain (cDNA) and binding to MG. Under optimal conditions, the sensor demonstrates good linearity and a low limit of detection (LOD).

Summary: The electro-deoxidation of MgO for Mg-Zr alloy formation in CaCl2-NaCl molten salt was studied in this experiment. The addition of PVB promoted the electro-deoxidation of MgO. By adjusting the concentration of PVB and the ratio between MgO and ZrO2, the efficiency of electro-deoxidation of MgO and ZrO2 can be controlled.

Summary: An inexpensive and practical method was explored to detect phenolic compounds in wastewater using a simple one compartment three-electrode cell and cyclic voltammetry measurements. The electrooxidation current density value correlated linearly with the concentration of each phenolic compound, but only qualitative analysis was possible for a 1:1 mixture of these phenols.

Summary: A copper film modified glassy carbon electrode and a novel copper film with carbon nanotubes modified screen-printed electrode were used for anodic stripping voltammetric measurement of ultratrace levels of Cd(II). The optimal electroanalytical performance of the working electrodes was achieved in electrolyte 0.1 M HCl and 2 x 10(-4) M Cu(II), with detection limits and repeatability values established for both types of electrodes. The calibration curves showed linear ranges for trace determination of cadmium in different environmental water samples.
