Summary: Pythagorean fuzzy sets can effectively handle uncertain information in multi-criteria decision making, and this paper extends the PROMETHEE method with Pythagorean fuzzy sets and compares it with existing methods. A medical diagnosis problem is solved using the proposed Pythagorean fuzzy PROMETHEE method, showcasing its advantages.

Summary: A hidden property evaluation model based on the PL3W-MADM method was developed to classify judgment debtors into three categories more effectively than the strict and flexible PL3W-MADM models. The model considers the expressions of evaluation information using probabilistic linguistic term sets and probabilities given by expert judges.

Summary: This study assessed the hair cortisol concentrations in patients with fibromyalgia (FM) and found that disease chronicity and symptom severity were predictors of cortisol levels. The results suggest that severe pain/stress leads to higher cortisol levels in the early stages of FM, but cortisol levels decrease in the long term.

Summary: The study compared attentional performance between patients with FMS and RA, finding that FMS patients exhibited longer reaction times and more errors in attention tests compared to RA patients and healthy individuals. The differences in performance did not vary by experimental conditions, suggesting a general attentional deficit in FMS rather than specific impairments in different attention domains.

Summary: There is a lack of standardization in the evaluation and diagnosis of neurocognitive regression in Down syndrome. This study presents international consensus agreement on the nomenclature, diagnostic work up, and diagnostic criteria for this condition, providing a practical framework for future research and clinical practices.

Summary: This study aimed to investigate the relationship between cognitive-emotional processing abnormalities and disease severity in fibromyalgia syndrome (FMS) patients. The results showed that compared to healthy controls, FMS patients had impaired affective discrimination and sustained attention to negative distractors. Additionally, patients displayed decreased task-related fronto-occipital EEG connectivity. The study findings suggest that cognitive-emotional dysregulation plays a crucial role in the pathophysiology of chronic pain.

Summary: This study highlights the importance of SWS fragmentation and slow/mixed arousal indexes as biomarkers for the diagnosis of DOA in children, with different cutoff values obtained than those validated in adults. The study provides Class III evidence that these parameters accurately identify children with DOA.

Summary: This study evaluated the proportion of children with juvenile idiopathic arthritis (JIA) who also had comorbid juvenile fibromyalgia (FM). It found that a minority of JIA patients (8.5%) met criteria for juvenile FM and that this group demonstrated markedly more functional impairment. The study suggests that healthcare providers should consider a more expansive approach to chronic pain and non-musculoskeletal symptom assessment and treatment in JIA patients.

Summary: The study investigated the association between fibromyalgia and self-reported seizures in rheumatoid arthritis patients. Results showed a significant link between FM diagnostic variables, FM-related symptoms, and self-reported seizures, indicating a complex relationship between multi-symptom comorbidity and seizures. Future studies are needed to confirm these findings using validated FM criteria assessments and clinically verified diagnoses of epileptic and psychogenic seizures.

Summary: This study developed and validated MRI-based radiomics models for evaluating supraspinatus tendon tears in the shoulder joints. A total of 432 patients were enrolled and radiomics features were extracted from MRI images. Two radiomics models were constructed to detect tendon abnormalities and assess tear severity, and their diagnostic performance was evaluated using ROC curves in training and validation datasets.

Summary: This study proves the lack of robustness in nonlinear IF distance functions for ranking intuitionistic fuzzy sets (IFS) and proposes an alternative ranking method based on hypervolume metric. Additionally, the suggested method is extended as a new multi-criteria decision making method called HEART, which is applied to evaluate Turkey's energy alternatives.

Summary: Acute pancreatitis (AP) is a common and potentially life-threatening inflammatory disease of the pancreas. Reactive oxygen species (ROS) play a key role in the occurrence and development of AP. A semiconducting polymer nanoplatform (SPN) that emits ROS-correlated chemiluminescence signals was synthesized and evaluated for its potential in diagnosing and assessing the severity of AP. The SPN showed excellent sensitivity and accuracy in detecting different concentrations of ROS and correlating CL intensity with AP severity. This research provides a novel method to overcome the drawbacks of AP diagnosis and offers a promising approach for clinical diagnosis of pancreatitis in the future.
