Summary: The study found that women with CPP have high levels of neuroticism, low extraversion, and low conscientiousness, along with moderate to severe levels of depression, high levels of trait and state anxiety, catastrophizing, and low pain acceptance. These psychological factors are important to consider in developing interventions to improve the clinical course of CPP.

Summary: Chronic pain is often accompanied by psychological comorbidity, and the lack of clear pathophysiological factors and valid biomarkers makes it difficult to diagnose. In this study, inflammatory blood biomarkers were found to be associated with psychological comorbidity, but not with pain intensity in a chronic pain population. Specific inflammatory proteins were identified that may be related to anxiety and depression.

Summary: This study validated the psychometric properties of the Arabic Chronic Pain Grade (CPG) scale, demonstrating reliability, convergent validity, and construct validity in chronic pain patients. The Arabic version of the CPG scale was found to be a reliable and valid measure of chronic pain dimensions, including pain intensity and pain-related disability, with the potential to expand research and clinical assessment in the Arab world. Further studies are needed for additional validation.

Summary: This paper provides an up-to-date review of EEG-neurofeedback treatments for fibromyalgia patients, examining their psychological, physiological, and general health consequences. The review identifies 17 studies that met the inclusion criteria and highlights a wide range of protocols and procedures used in treating fibromyalgia with EEG-neurofeedback techniques. The main symptoms that showed improvement were anxiety, depression, pain, general health, and symptom severity, with the traditional EEG neurofeedback based on a sensorimotor rhythm protocol being the most commonly used method. However, the lack of consistency and uniqueness among the protocols makes it difficult to generalize results despite individual improvements.

Summary: This study validated the Arabic version of the Basic Psychological Need Satisfaction and Frustration Scale (BPNSFS) and found its invariance across five Arab countries and gender. The results of confirmatory factor analysis supported the generalizability of the six-factor model of BPNSFS to the five Arab countries and provided additional evidence on its construct validity through cross-cultural data. The measurement invariance of BPNSFS across males and females and across the five Arab countries helps ensure comparable latent means across different groups.
