2,4-Bis-(trichloromethyl)-6-(4-methoxy)pheny1-1,3,5-triazine (XL-353) as a new radical reactive photoinitiator has been used for UV-crosslinking of acrylic pressure-sensitive adhesives containing double bonds. On the other hand, this compound in the presence of suitable sensitizers acts as a very effective co-initiator in two- and three-component photoinitiating systems under a visible light. It is shown, that the use of 1,3,5-triazine derivative (XL-353) in a three-component photoinitiating system leads to an increased efficiency of the polymerization reaction under visible light irradiation in comparison with two-component ones.
