Summary: The honeysuckle, appreciated for its biological activities, unique aroma and flavor, needs to be explored for potential risks of pesticide residues in order to ensure food safety. The study employed QuEChERS, HPLC-MS/MS, and GC-MS/MS methods to determine pesticide residues in honeysuckle samples. Results showed that 86.02% of the samples were contaminated by at least one pesticide, including the banned pesticide carbofuran. The study also assessed the migration behavior and dietary exposure risk, indicating low risk for human health but identifying five high-risk pesticides. This study provides a foundation for risk assessment of honeysuckle and similar products.

Summary: Tartary buckwheat has attracted more attention due to its unique chemical composition and higher efficacy in disease prevention. However, counterfeiting and adulteration of Tartary buckwheat with common buckwheat is common, leading to consumer harm and market disruption. This study used metabolomics technology to develop a new and simple identification method for Tartary buckwheat and common buckwheat, revealing differential metabolic pathways between the two. This research has important implications for quality control of related agricultural products.

Summary: This study investigated the potential biomarkers and metabolic pathways of arsenic-induced liver injury using a metabolomic approach. Summary: The study found that heroin and morphine had different effects on metabolic patterns in animals, with heroin not quickly restoring metabolic patterns to baseline levels after withdrawal and causing a change in metabolic pattern upon relapse. Conversely, morphine administration altered metabolic patterns but resulted in similar levels to the control group during withdrawal or relapse. Both heroin and morphine were found to interfere with lipid metabolism, the tricarboxylic acid (TCA) cycle, and amino acid metabolism. Heroin and morphine also shared similarities in affecting specific metabolites in serum and urine, showing their potential as markers for opiate abuse.

Summary: This study investigated the therapeutic effect and critical action time of carbendazim-based drug FangWeiLing (FWL) on pebrine disease through silkworm rearing biological test. Metabonomics analysis based on gas chromatography-mass spectrometry (GC/MS) was performed on silkworm hemolymph samples. The results indicated that FWL effectively treated pebrine disease and the critical action time was 24 to 48 hours post inoculation. FWL regulated various metabolites related to the disease and maintained the overall metabolic profile of silkworms. Furthermore, FWL had some effect on silkworm metabolism, potentially impacting cocoon quality.

Summary: In this study, the quality of Yiqing tablet was comprehensively evaluated using multi-component quantification, multi-dimensional fingerprint construction, and antioxidant activity analysis. The results showed that the sample had 25 components with antioxidant activity according to the HPLC fingerprint and most bands of FTIR also showed antioxidant activity. Based on the evaluation results of HPLC and FTIR fingerprint, all samples were classified as first level, demonstrating the consistency of sample quality. This study provides a new idea for achieving comprehensive quality evaluation of traditional Chinese medicines.

The optimized experimental parameters result in low dissolved organic carbon content and residual acidity concentration. The accuracy of the method is confirmed through the analysis of certified reference materials, and its environmental friendliness is validated using the AGREE metric. Principal component analysis is used to classify the medicinal herbs based on their inorganic constituent concentrations.

Additionally, the environmental friendliness of the developed analytical methods was evaluated.

Summary: This study employed network pharmacology-based analysis and reverse molecular docking to investigate the molecular targets and pathways associated with gynecological disorders and the potential therapeutic effects of fenugreek constituents. The results highlighted the potential of steroidal saponins, isoflavones, and flavones as active constituents of fenugreek with implications for lactation, reproductive processes, and estrogenic activity. Animal model study further supported the presence of these bioactive compounds and their effects on body weight, serum prolactin levels, serum estradiol levels, and ovarian histological structure.
