Summary: The study characterized the physicochemical and mechanical properties of a milled fiber-reinforced composite for implant-supported fixed dental prostheses. Results showed that FDPs fabricated with milled epoxy resin matrix reinforced with glass fibers demonstrated high probability of survival at 300N load, indicating good fatigue performance.

Summary: This study aimed to investigate the influence of the emergence profile of implant-supported crowns on the stability of the mucosal margin up to 12 months after insertion of the final restoration. The results showed that the use of a concave emergence profile resulted in greater stability compared to a convex profile, although it also increased the time and costs. There were no significant differences in aesthetic outcomes between the two profiles.

Summary: This study evaluated the accuracy of dental implant placement using a dynamic computer-assisted implant surgery (dCAIS) system and a freehand approach, and compared the patients' perception and quality of life with the two approaches. The results showed that the dCAIS system significantly improved implant placement accuracy compared to the freehand approach, but it also increased the surgical time and did not improve patient satisfaction or reduce postoperative pain.

Summary: The objective of this study was to compare the outcomes of autologous and porcine xenograft in bilateral maxillary sinus augmentation. The results showed that both graft materials had low marginal bone loss and high implant survival rate after one year, indicating that they are excellent options for prosthetic rehabilitation of atrophic maxillae. Few surgical complications were observed, however, there were some prosthetic complications such as fractures of prosthetic components.

Summary: There is a lack of clinical and laboratory studies on occlusion in implant-supported prostheses, and scientific evidence supporting the superiority of one occlusal scheme over another is scarce. Proper load distribution and the avoidance of occlusal interferences can enhance implant longevity.

Summary: This study aimed to adapt an evidence-based clinical practice guideline for risk-based management of caries in 18-55 year-old Iranian adults. A multidisciplinary team reviewed various guidelines and assessed their reliability to form recommendations specifically for Iranian adults. This study is important for promoting oral health in the Iranian population.

Summary: This study assessed and compared the clinical outcomes of titanium and zirconium implants, including survival rate, success rate, and peri-implant indices. The results showed that zirconium implants may have lower survival rate and significantly lower success rate compared to titanium implants, but no significant differences were found in other indicators. Therefore, the performance of zirconium implants should be rigorously evaluated before entering the market.

Summary: A panel of experts conducted a systematic review and formulated evidence-based recommendations for the pharmacologic management of acute dental pain in children. Nonopioid medications, specifically nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drugs like ibuprofen and naproxen alone or in combination with acetaminophen, are recommended for managing acute dental pain after tooth extractions and temporary toothache in children.

Summary: This study investigated the effect of a novel interocclusal recording method on the occlusal accuracy of implant-supported fixed prostheses for partially dentate patients with distal extension. The results showed that the new method improved the accuracy of occlusal contacts and reduced the need for adjustment.

Summary: This retrospective study compared the outcomes of immediate and delayed implants in patients with tooth agenesis. The results showed no significant difference in radiographic bone level changes between the two treatment groups. Patients reported less pain and preferred immediate implants. Clinician satisfaction levels were similar. This pilot study supports the use of immediate implant placement in cases of tooth agenesis.

Summary: This study investigated the clinical management of stage IV periodontitis patients among clinicians within the Italian Society of Periodontology and Implantology. The study found that more experienced members spent more time on periodontal therapy and used more diagnostic tools, while also performing more surgeries and orthodontic treatments.
