This research focused on accessing stereochemically pure 3,4-disubstituted piperidines through a classical resolution method, which could have broader utility in pharmaceutical intermediates. The practical synthesis described in this work allows for the production of kilogram quantities of enantiopure precursor, enabling scale-up efforts for toxicology studies.
