Summary: This study compared single-port access (SPA) laparoscopy and SPA robot-assisted laparoscopy (RAL) in patients with endometriosis regarding ovarian reserve preservation and surgical outcomes. The severity of endometriosis, age, ovarian cyst size, location of cyst, and complexity of surgery were associated with a reduction in anti-Müllerian hormone (AMH) levels after surgery. RAL was found to be more beneficial than SPA laparoscopy in preserving ovarian reserve in patients with mild endometriosis and those who underwent non-complex surgery.

Summary: This study showed that using an adhesion barrier can prevent postoperative adhesion in single-port access laparoscopic gynecologic surgery. A total of 37 patients did not have any adhesion around the umbilicus during the three-month follow-up period.

Summary: Clinical outcomes following total and selective peritonectomy during interval cytoreductive surgery for stage IIIC/IVA serous epithelial ovarian cancer were compared. The study showed no significant difference in morbidity, mortality, and survival outcomes between the two groups, but a trend towards longer overall survival in the total peritonectomy group was observed.

Summary: This study found that residual microscopic disease can still exist in 'normal appearing' peritoneal regions even after neoadjuvant chemotherapy for advanced ovarian cancer. It also identified the commonest sites of occult residual disease and patterns of response to chemotherapy. The study suggested that exploring and dissecting high-risk regions during interval cytoreductive surgery can help address occult disease more effectively.

Summary: This study evaluated the patterns of recurrence and factors affecting recurrence after interval cytoreductive surgery and hyperthermic intraperitoneal chemotherapy in primary stage IIIC/IVA epithelial ovarian cancer. The results showed a higher incidence of systemic recurrences in these patients, with nodal involvement, selective peritonectomy, and residual disease being significant factors influencing recurrence risk. Extent of peritonectomy and nodal clearance impacted patterns of recurrence and progression free survival.

Summary: The study compared the clinical application of single-port laparoscopic myomectomy with traditional three-port laparoscopic myomectomy in 120 patients. Results showed that the single-port laparoscopic group had shorter specimen removal time, postoperative ambulation time, first exhaust time after surgery, and length of hospital stay, with higher satisfaction of abdominal wall scar. However, the duration of surgery was significantly longer in the single-port laparoscopic group.

Summary: Minimally invasive surgery, such as 2-port access laparoscopy (TPA), is effective for endometrial cancer with smaller incisions and less postoperative pain compared to conventional laparoscopic surgery. The study showed that TPA with conventional instruments is feasible and accessible, with operation time decreasing after 3-4 procedures according to the learning curve analysis.

Summary: This study compared the short-term outcomes of laparoscopic approach and open approach for interval cytoreductive surgery with hyperthermic intraperitoneal chemotherapy (CRS+HIPEC) in patients with advanced epithelial ovarian cancer (EOC). The results showed that the laparoscopic approach was associated with shorter hospital stay and time to return to systemic chemotherapy, while achieving similar oncological results compared to the open approach.

Summary: This study aimed to evaluate the incidence of platinum resistant recurrence and early recurrence in patients undergoing interval CRS, as well as the impact of different treatments on recurrence. The results showed that the use of aggressive locoregional therapies like TPP and HIPEC can reduce the incidence of recurrence.

Summary: Interval cytoreductive surgery following total parietal peritonectomy (TPP) resulted in a very low incidence of platinum resistant recurrence (PRR), showing potential benefits over conventional surgery that need to be further evaluated in larger studies.

Summary: In this study, the use of a single-incision laparoscopic surgical port in a cadaveric canine model showed faster intraluminal pressure, higher maximum luminal pressure, and more effective luminal distention and visualization compared to traditional methods. The SILS port was also found to be easier to use, requiring fewer personnel and lower procedural costs, making it a feasible and cost-effective option for procedures.

Summary: This study compared the surgical outcomes of single-port access total laparoscopic hysterectomy (SPA-TLH) and hybrid robotic single-site hysterectomy (RSSH). A total of 64 patients underwent either hybrid RSSH or SPA-TLH for benign gynecologic disease. The results showed that there were no significant differences in surgical outcomes between the two groups, but the hybrid RSSH group had a shorter colpotomy time and a longer vaginal cuff closure time.

Summary: This study compared the clinical efficacy of an innovative modified single-incision technique with that of transperitoneal multi-incision robot-assisted laparoscopic radical prostatectomy. The results showed that there was no significant difference in the overall outcome between the two groups. However, the modified extraperitoneal single-incision technique had advantages such as a shorter operation time, less impact on the gastrointestinal tract, and a more aesthetically pleasing incision.
