Summary: This study synthesized three new metallophthalocyanines and characterized them using various spectroscopic methods. The aggregation properties of the compounds at different concentrations were studied, and density functional theory computations were conducted to investigate their electronic properties. The performance of the gallium chloride complexes as photosensitizer candidates in photodynamic therapy was examined.

Summary: The study highlights the oncogenic role of TR4 in the development of papillary thyroid cancer (PTC), driving PTC progression by promoting cell invasion and migration. The TR4/circFLNA/miR-149-5p/MMP9 signaling axis plays a central role in cell invasion and migration of PTC cells, suggesting that targeting this pathway may be an alternative option for metastatic PTC patients.

Summary: This work synthesized a series of aromatic hydrocarbon-based semi-fluorinated sulfonated polytriazoles utilizing a newly developed semi-fluorinated diazide monomer and Cu(I)-induced click cycloaddition polymerization reaction. The copolymers exhibited good solubility, mechanical and thermal stabilities, and reasonable chemical stability. BABPSSH-90 showed a proton conductivity of 104 mS cm(-1) at 90 degrees C.

Summary: Non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs (NSAIDs) can inhibit Cyclooxygenase (COX), which converts arachidonic acid to inflammatory mediators. Selective COX-2 inhibitors have become important in medicinal chemistry due to their lower incidence of adverse effects. A series of new 2-(4-(methylsulfonyl)phenyl)-N-phenylimidazo[1,2-a]pyridin-3-amines were designed, synthesized, and evaluated as potential COX-2 inhibitors. Among them, 8-methyl-2-(4-(methylsulfonyl) phenyl)-N-(p-tolyl)imidazo[1,2-a]pyridin-3-amine (5n) showed the highest potency and selectivity against the COX-2 enzyme, and nine derivatives exhibited significant antinociceptive activity in the formalin test.

Summary: The X-ray single crystal structure, spectroscopic parameters, and photophysical properties of a compound were investigated in this study. The compound exhibited thermal stability prior to melting and showed slight changes in its absorption and emission spectra with different solvents. The theoretical calculations using density functional theory (DFT) and time-dependent density functional theory (TD-DFT) were in good agreement with the experimental observations. The net photochemical quantum yield of the compound was also calculated in various solvents.
