Summary: Dysfunctional interprofessional teams pose a threat to health system performance and patient outcomes. Strategies to prepare future health professionals for effective collaboration require understanding of early professional socialization and identity formation. Study findings show that various experiences influence career choices and shape the social positioning of future careers, revealing the existence of stereotypes among health professions.

This type of collaboration involves researchers from different countries and disciplines working together on scholarly projects, offering a range of benefits but also presenting challenges. Key to successful international research is regular discussion, negotiation, and agreement.

Summary: Interprofessional working relationships can influence the quality of collaborative practices, as shown in a study on seven health-care professions. Survey results indicated overall positive relationships among health professionals, with variations in perceptions towards doctors. Recommendations for advancing interprofessional collaboration were based on these findings.
