Summary: This study aimed to estimate the prevalence and determine the associated factors for developing prehypertension and hypertension among Indonesian adolescents. The results showed that the prevalence of prehypertension in adolescents was 16.8% and hypertension was 2.6%. Risk factors for prehypertension included being male, 18 or 19 years old, and obese. Risk factors for hypertension included being 18 or 19 years old and obese. In adolescent girls, age and LDL cholesterol levels were associated with an increased chance of developing prehypertension. Summary: Based on Chinese epidemiological data, there is an association between periodontitis severity and hypertension. The association is particularly evident in young individuals, with an increase in hypertension prevalence as periodontitis severity worsens. Therefore, it is necessary to improve education and awareness of periodontal treatment and preventive management among individuals at risk of hypertension, especially in the younger population.

Summary: This study investigated the prevalence and factors influencing prehypertension and hypertension in workers at elderly welfare facilities. Results showed that factors such as sex, age, education level, job characteristics, work-related burnout, and body mass index were significantly correlated with prehypertension and hypertension. Multinomial logistic regression demonstrated that being male, older, a nonnurse assistant, obese, working in shifts, and having moderate or severe work-related burnout were associated with higher risks of prehypertension and hypertension.

Summary: The aim of this study was to investigate the association between the Dietary Inflammatory Index (DII) and the prevalence of hypertension in a large multiracial population in the United States. A total of 45,023 participants from the NHANES were included in this cross-sectional study. The results showed that an increment of DII was strongly associated with the risk of hypertension. Therefore, controlling dietary inflammation should be emphasized for better prevention and treatment of hypertension.
