Summary: Breast cancer patients with immediate breast reconstruction should improve their level of participation satisfaction. Patients who have greater autonomous decision-making, are married, have higher information acquisition competence, agreeableness, and prefer collaborative roles are more likely to have a preferable level of participation satisfaction.

Summary: The study aims to determine the breast reconstruction rate in a large Dutch teaching hospital and understand the motives of women to opt for or reject breast reconstruction. A retrospective, cross-sectional study was conducted, categorizing patients who underwent mastectomy into two groups based on whether they had subsequent breast reconstruction or not. Patient-reported outcomes were evaluated using the Breast-Q and a short survey. The study found that patients have personal motives for their decision and that patients were well-informed.

Summary: This review article examines how and why low-income voters make decisions to vote for a political candidate. A systematic literature review identified 163 articles from the past 80 years (1944-2023). The fragmented literature was then organized using 3W1H and TCCM frameworks to obtain a comprehensive overview of low-income voters' behavior. The study explains the voting contexts of poor consumers and identifies the fundamental theories and methods used in this research domain.

Summary: This scoping review examined the factors influencing treatment decision-making for cancer patients in low- and middle-income countries, specifically focusing on the choice between curative and non-curative treatment. The review identified both similar and novel factors compared to high-income country settings, providing a broader understanding of treatment decision-making in low- and middle-income countries.

Summary: This study developed, tested, and validated machine learning algorithms to predict individual patient-reported outcomes at 1-year follow-up for women with breast cancer, aiming to facilitate individualized, patient-centered decision-making. Current decision-making relying on group-level evidence may not provide optimal treatment recommendations for individuals.

Summary: This study evaluated key factors that drive the decision-making process for implementing HPV vaccine programs in low-and-middle-income countries (LMICs). The findings reveal that decision-making involving multiple institutions and stakeholders from national and global levels is a country-specific process. Partner considerations, locally driven processes, availability of data, and infrastructure and resource considerations were identified as critical factors in the decision-making process. Future programs should invest in initiatives to enhance coordination, ensure locally driven vaccine introduction, increase data availability, and equip countries with necessary resources for decision-making in complex environments.

Summary: This study investigated the treatment decision-making process for patients with anterior cruciate ligament (ACL) injury from the perspectives of patients, orthopaedic surgeons, and physiotherapists. The results showed that most patients felt their needs were met in terms of being heard and agreement with the treatment decision. However, patients in the non-ACLR group reported lower satisfaction with information from the orthopaedic surgeon and their own involvement in the treatment decision process.

Summary: Artificial walking survey, ground penetrating radar (GPR) and falling weight deflectometer (FWD) were used to test the actual condition of the highway pavement in reconstruction and expansion project for better maintenance decision-making. A decision-making system with four evaluation indexes was constructed, and the corresponding thresholds for different conditions were determined. The system effectively determined maintenance plans and resulted in cost savings and improved structural reinforcement ability.

Summary: This study examined the use and performance of conventional and sustainable building technologies in low-income housing construction in South Africa. It found that conventional building components have lower sustainability levels due to high concrete use, while innovative building components have lower environmental impacts. The study recommends that public sector clients encourage the use of sustainable construction technologies for low-income housing development.
