Summary: Polyphosphazenes play an important role in material science due to their ability to easily achieve functional diversity. The newly synthesized Phz-AO submicrospheres demonstrated significant potential for adsorbing the negative charged MO dye, with a maximum adsorption capacity of 1244.7 mg.g(-1) and showed high adsorption potential at pH <= 6 conditions. The submicrospheres are expected to be a promising member of the super adsorbent material family.

Summary: In this study, a hydrothermal method assisted by ultrasound was used to create a superparamagnetic Fe3O4 @Al-MOF nanocomposite for the removal of Congo red (CR) dye from water. The results showed that Fe3O4 @Al-MOF efficiently removed CR within 10 minutes and reached equilibrium within 50 minutes, with a high adsorption capacity of 2543.6 mg/g. The adsorption mechanism involved electrostatic interaction, pi-pi interaction, hydrogen bonding, and high porosity.

Summary: This study proposes the development of a low-cost, renewable, and porous adsorbent derived from Ficus benjamina leaves for removing cationic dyes from wastewater. The adsorbent was characterized and found to have small pore size, high volume, and large surface area. The optimal pH for adsorption varied for different dyes, and the adsorption mechanism was determined to be a two-body interaction. The pulverized dry leaves of Ficus benjamina showed great potential as a batch adsorbent for cationic dyes in wastewater.

Summary: Different soil types show variations in arsenic adsorption efficiency and mechanisms, with granite weathered red soil demonstrating higher efficiency due to higher mineral content and pH(PZC), while sandstone weathered red soil shows slower As(V) removal efficiency decrease with increasing concentration. The differences in mineral content and organic matter sources contribute to the diverse As adsorption behaviors observed in the two soil types.

Summary: Dyes are hazardous industrial pollutants, and effective removal from wastewater is crucial. A BaFe12O19/CoFe2O4@PEG nanocomposite showed high efficiency in removing Acid Blue 92, with a maximum of 77.54% removal at pH 2. Adsorption isotherm and kinetic data fit well with models, especially the pseudo-second order and Freundlich isotherm models.

Summary: This paper presents a novel adsorbent, Chhotidudhi, for the removal of nickel ions from aqueous solutions. The adsorbent was characterized using FTIR, XRD, SEM, and TGA. The adsorbent showed strong bond with metals and had an amorphous structure with a porous morphology. At optimized conditions, the adsorption capacity for the adsorbent was 52.4 mg/g and 109.05 mg/g, with removal efficiencies of 81.6% and 93.8% for ETR and ETA, respectively. The experimental results fit well with Langmuir and pseudo-second-order reactions.

Summary: In this study, copper oxide (CuO) nanoparticles were successfully synthesized by thermal treatment of Cu(II) organometallic complex at temperatures up to 650 degrees C. The synthesized CuO nanoparticles were characterized using various spectroscopic techniques. Adsorption of acid red 57 onto CuO nanoparticles followed Langmuir isotherm, with a pseudo-second-order rate expression and chemisorption nature. Thermodynamic analysis revealed the endothermic and spontaneous nature of the adsorption process.

Summary: The high-porosity coal-based activated carbon is effective in adsorbing azo dye, with high surface charge and maximum dye uptake under acidic conditions. Thermodynamic parameters indicate a spontaneous, endothermic, and feasible adsorption mechanism. Computational study shows that dye sorption onto AC in a specific configuration is more effective, confirmed by atomic charge transfer phenomenon.
