Summary: This study introduces the patient-centered approach in China and validates the Chinese version of the Patient-Professional Interaction Questionnaire (PPIQ-C) to assess patient satisfaction. The results show that the PPIQ-C is a reliable measure and patient-centered care predicts overall patient satisfaction beyond other medical service perspectives. Adopting a patient-centered approach can improve overall healthcare and patient satisfaction in China.

Summary: This survey examines the impact of hypothyroidism on patient satisfaction and everyday living, as well as the influence of demographic and socioeconomic factors. The results show that satisfaction with care and treatment is not associated with the type of treatment for hypothyroidism, but is strongly associated with lack of confidence and trust in healthcare professionals. Differences in satisfaction rates between countries and the positive impact of levothyroxine on everyday living are also observed.
