Summary: The study reveals that there is a need for broader and personalized survivorship care for melanoma patients. Although few healthcare providers are familiar with survivorship care plans (SCPs), they see potential benefits in terms of patient self-management and providing up-to-date information. Summary: Older adults in long-term care are often sedentary. A randomized clinical trial was conducted to explore the acceptability of a standing intervention called Stand If You Can (SIYC) among long-term care residents. The participants stood for a median of 53% of the offered intervention time and reported acceptability in various aspects. Standing is a simple and accepted intervention to reduce sedentary behavior in long-term care residents, as long as the burden is not perceived as too high.

Summary: Ageing and physical frailty increase the vulnerability and risk of falling in older individuals due to decreased muscle and bone mass. It is estimated that one in ten falls in this age group results in a fracture, leading to a decline in health status and greater dependence. This study aims to identify evidence on interventions that promote the safety of older people with hip fracture after hospital discharge.

Summary: The increasing overload of chronic conditions poses challenges for healthcare systems. Informal caregivers play a crucial role in ensuring the quality of life for the cared-for individuals, despite the lack of resources to meet their needs. This article presents the findings from a nurse-led research project aimed at developing an informal caregiver profile to facilitate tailored interventions. The study identified 639 caregivers, with the majority living with the cared-for person. Only a small percentage of caregivers had planned to take on the role, and a low percentage had access to support programs. About half of the respondents reported negative impacts on their caregiver role due to COVID-19. Collaborative efforts between healthcare professionals, academics, and community partners are essential in developing localized and personalized strategies to provide meaningful support to caregivers.
