Summary: In addition to its economic and environmental significance, remanufacturing plays a strategically important role in competition. The competition between supply chains affects product recovery strategies, and the power structure within the supply chain also influences decision-making. This study explores how supply chain competition and power structure affect product recovery strategies and reveals the implications of these strategies on both inter- and intra-channel levels.

Summary: This paper presents a systematic two-stage analysis to improve coordination in a three-echelon closed-loop supply chain under differentiated carbon tax regulation. The study applies non-cooperative and cooperative game theory to explore optimal operations and achieve profit coordination. The results show that adjusting carbon tax rates on different products can effectively reduce emissions and a grand coalition can achieve optimal environmental and economic performance. The proposed Shapley value algorithm incorporating differentiated carbon tax costs improves the utilities of carbon taxpayers and benefits policy formulation and industrial practices.

Summary: This paper investigates two recycling cooperation modes, the recycling alliance mode and cost sharing mode, in a closed-loop supply chain. The optimal choice of recycling cooperation depends on the remanufacturing efficiency and the relative recycling cost efficiency of the manufacturer and retailer. The analysis shows that both recycling modes can lead to improvements for the manufacturer and retailer, with the retailer preferring the cost-sharing mode.

Summary: The objective of this study is to establish an efficient contractual coordination model for advancing the supply chain towards sustainability using blockchain technology. The study investigates the problem of unsold product remanufacturing in the supply chain under the influence of recovery quality efforts and information sharing within blockchain technology. It is found that the decentralized decision-making mode cannot effectively coordinate the remanufacturing of unsold products. A mechanism of cost and revenue sharing is proposed to effectively coordinate the supply chain, leading to win-win situations and improvements in resource usage efficiency and environmental implications.

Summary: Process innovation in green product remanufacturing can effectively enhance remanufacturing performance and the recovery rate of manufacturers. While the cooperative mechanism is beneficial for the supplier, supply chain, and environment, it may not be favorable for the manufacturer. Additionally, government subsidies can encourage manufacturers to adopt the cooperative mechanism, leading to a win-win situation.

Summary: This paper investigates the interaction between a risk-neutral supplier and a risk-averse manufacturer in a supply chain with scarce yield information, focusing on the remanufacturing of green defective products. The manufacturer adopts the minimax-regret criterion to mitigate the risk of scarce information. By integrating ideal profit and minimax regret, the model is improved to overcome the conservatism of the minimax-regret criterion. The study reveals competitiveness among sustainable strategies and analyzes the evolutionary equilibrium using evolutionary game theory. Results show that the supplier's greening raw materials may have a negative effect on the manufacturer, while the manufacturer's remanufacturing of defective products may reduce the supplier's profit. The improved model indicates the supplier's preference for the greening strategy, but higher remanufacturing production cost and lower actual yield can motivate the manufacturer to implement the remanufacturing strategy. The numerical results demonstrate the impact of factors such as greening difficulty and consumer preference on the evolution speed and direction, while the improved model has a higher possibility of achieving better performance. These findings can contribute to the harmonious transformation of supply chains towards sustainable development.

Summary: The closed-loop dynamics of sustainable supply chains are crucial for their performance, and the decision of whether the remanufacturing process should be centralized or decentralized significantly impacts the supply chain's performance. While a centralized configuration can reduce uncertainty in reverse flows, it may also lead to higher uncertainty for upstream members. Therefore, in long supply chains, the decision should be made considering the trade-offs and taking into account information transparency levels.

Summary: The apparel industry's environmental problems caused by fast fashion's throw-away culture can be minimized through circular business models and changes in consumer behaviors. This study analyzes consumers' willingness to acquire circular apparel using the Value-Belief-Norm (VBN) theory and finds that the variables from the theory explain circular behavior in the apparel industry. Materialistic values do not play a significant role in predicting willingness to consume circular clothing, and the VBN theory predicts willingness to consume circular apparel better in the Netherlands compared to Brazil.

Summary: Corporate Sustainability Reporting provides crucial data for studying sustainability and the adoption of circular economy strategies by companies. However, there is a need for systematic classification and hierarchy of sustainable circular economy strategies, as well as more research on Corporate Sustainability Reporting in emerging economies. The analysis of Corporate Sustainability Reporting from multinational companies operating in Brazil suggests significant efforts towards a sustainable circular economy. Based on these findings and business process management theory, a Business Process for Sustainable Circular Economy framework is proposed.

Summary: The paper proposes a novel deep learning-based prediction framework, aTCN-LSTM, for accurate cooling load predictions. The framework utilizes a gate-controlled multi-head temporal convolutional network and a sparse probabilistic self-attention mechanism with a bidirectional long short-term memory network to capture both temporal and long-term dependencies in the cooling load sequences. Experimental results demonstrate the effectiveness and superiority of the proposed method, which can serve as an effective guide for HVAC chiller scheduling and demand management initiatives.
