Summary: An analytical method based on LTPE combined with mass spectrometry was developed for determination of multiclass antibiotics in wastewater. Summary: A simple and fast high-performance liquid chromatography with tandem mass spectrometry method has been developed and validated for quantification of tazobactam, piperacillin, and meropenem in human plasma. The method involved simple sample preparation and achieved lower limits of detection and quantification for the three compounds. The validated method was successfully applied for therapeutic monitoring in intensive care unit patients.

These findings provide insights into the composition of alkaloids in Dendrobium plants and offer a scientific method for their identification.

Summary: An analytical method for determining six estrogens and estrogen mimics in the natural environment has been developed and validated. The method, using SPE-LC-MS/MS, showed satisfactory recoveries, precision, and linearity, with LODs ranging from 2.5 to 19.2 ng/L. Matrix effects were observed in surface water and wastewater, with organic pollutants negatively affecting the method sensitivity. The total concentrations of target estrogenic compounds in environmental samples ranged from 17 to 9462 ng/L.

Summary: The development of a HILIC-MS/MS multiclass method for simultaneous analysis of eight cyanotoxins in reservoir water samples is described in this work, providing a reliable and sensitive analytical approach for cyanotoxin analysis. The study shows that a tandem solid-phase extraction system can effectively extract and preconcentrate different classes of cyanotoxins.

Summary: A simple and reliable extraction method for the determination of patulin in apple juice has been developed using amine-functionalized polymeric solid-phase extraction cartridges. Isotope dilution liquid chromatography tandem mass spectrometry was utilized to minimize matrix effects and ensure reliable quantification. Results showed negligible matrix effects and satisfactory sensitivity, providing a promising method for routine quality control in patulin detection.

Summary: Ultra-hydrophilic perand polyfluorinated sulfonates (PFSA) are a topic of increasing concern due to their widespread presence, persistence, and mobility in water environments. This study developed a method for analyzing trifluoromethanesulfonate, perfluorobutanesulfonate, 10-camphorsulfonate, and a di-fluorinated sulfonate using mixed-mode liquid chromatography. The method successfully retained and separated all target analytes, and solid phase extraction was used for sample purification. The method allows for simultaneous analysis of the most hydrophilic PFAS chemical, trifluoromethanesulfonate, and moderately hydrophobic PFSAs. The optimized method has low instrumental limits of quantification and high recovery rates.

Summary: This study developed a sensitive and specific method to quantify all-trans retinoic acid (atRA) in human plasma samples, which can also be applied to hyperlipidemic samples. Summary: An automated procedure was developed for the simultaneous determination of six anionic pesticides, including glyphosate and its transformation product aminomethylphosphonic acid, in environmental water samples. The method combined on-line concentration of water samples, anion-exchange liquid chromatography separation, and tandem mass spectrometry for selective determination. The method provided low limits of quantification and was applied to analyze samples from three watersheds in Galicia, Spain. The results showed the presence of Fosetyl, AMPA, and GLY, with higher levels and seasonal variations observed in rivers affected by sewage treatment plant discharges.

Summary: A novel and automated method for simultaneous determination of six groups of LMATs in seawater was developed, showing good recovery, sensitivity, and repeatability. In summer, okadaic acid and pectenotoxin-2 were commonly detected in actual seawater samples, with the highest concentration of Sigma LMATs found in the coastal mariculture area of Shandong Province. Routine monitoring of LMATs in coastal mariculture zones, especially in summer, is necessary to prevent shellfish contamination.
