Summary: This study optimized a method for the multi-residue analysis of 287 pesticide residues in mandarin orange and grapefruit using the quick, easy, cheap, effective, rugged, and safe (QuEChERS) technique combined with liquid chromatography-tandem mass spectrometry. The method was validated in terms of selectivity, LOQ, linearity, accuracy, precision, and matrix effect, showing satisfactory results for routine laboratory testing of citrus fruits for pesticide residue analyses.

Summary: This study analyzed urine samples from the Australia and New Zealand region and obtained data on the concentrations of glyphosate and its degradation product aminomethylphosphonic acid (AMPA). The results showed that glyphosate was detected in 8% of the urine samples from the Australian general population and in 96% of urine samples from New Zealand farmers. This indicates a widespread presence of glyphosate in the population, with higher detections among farmers.

Summary: This study aimed to determine the pharmacokinetic parameters of oral Fosfomycin tromethamine in canine plasma and urine using LC-MS/MS. The results indicated that oral Fosfomycin as the tromethamine salt was better absorbed into the blood circulation compared to disodium salt. The high urine Fosfomycin concentrations suggest that it could be a viable substitute for bacterial cystitis treatment in dogs with multidrug resistant infections.
