Summary: The study examined the protective effects of citicoline against arsenic-induced hepatotoxicity and glucose intolerance. Citicoline improved glucose tolerance, increased antioxidant enzyme activity, and reduced oxidative stress and inflammation in the liver. Furthermore, it restored insulin production and action pathways. Based on these findings, citicoline can be considered as a modulating agent for arsenic-induced liver toxicity and hyperglycemia.

Summary: Research indicates that different types of glucose transporters play different roles in the proliferation and differentiation of osteoblasts. Expression of GLUT4 is crucial for the proliferation and differentiation of osteoblasts, while GLUT1 is abundant in early precursors and GLUT3 shows stable expression during differentiation. Apart from GLUT1, 3, and 4, osteoblasts also express other types of glucose transporters to regulate glucose uptake.

The transcriptional profile of GLUTs in OSCC cells showed significant alterations in response to specific GLUT inhibitors, with GLUT3 consistently upregulated in actively proliferating OSCC cell lines.
