Summary: Using Camellia Sinensis leaf aqueous extract as a reducing, capping, and stabilizing agent, ZnO nanoparticles (NPs) are synthesized via a green process. The formation of ZnO NPs is proposed to be facilitated by the chelation of Zn or metal complexation during the annealing process. The impact of annealing temperature on the structural, morphological, thermal, and optical characteristics of ZnO NPs is thoroughly studied, revealing changes in crystalline texture and shape of the NPs with increasing temperature. The obtained ZnO NPs, featuring dominant oxygen vacancies, show promise for eco-friendly memristor-based electronic devices.

Summary: In this study, highly uniform ligand-free noble metal nanoclusters, such as Pd nanoclusters, were successfully synthesized in silica capsules through an impregnation strategy with accurately engineerable sizes ranging from 0.9 to 2.9 nm. The synthesis method involved hollow silica nanoreactors and non-noble metal competitor ions, allowing strict control over the nucleation and growth of the noble metal nanoclusters. These Pd nanoclusters exhibited a strong size effect on catalysis, with the highest catalytic activity observed for those with a size of 1.3 nm. This novel strategy opens new opportunities for designing efficient noble metal nanocluster-type catalysts and advancing their large-scale applications.

Summary: This study focused on the use of polydopamine-coated gold nanoparticles (Au@PDA NPs) with excellent selectivity towards cancer cells, stimulating immunogenic cell death. The damaged cells released damage-associated molecular patterns (DAMPs) after exposure to Au@PDA NPs, regulating the subsequent immune response. Au@PDA NPs show potential for cancer immunotherapy by triggering anti-tumor immunity.

Summary: In this study, a simple synthesis strategy was utilized to prepare Pt-WOx hybrid nanostructures, which exhibited excellent catalytic hydrogen evolution reaction performance. The Pt mass activity was approximately 17 times higher than that of commercial Pt catalysts, and the turnover frequency was 7.4 times higher. The enhanced electrocatalytic performance is attributed to the creation of Pt-WOx interfacial sites.

Summary: In this study, the interaction between nanoparticles (NPs) and different types of cells was investigated. The results showed that the internalization of NPs by cells was size-dependent, with the highest uptake efficiency observed for 30 nm NPs. Different endocytic pathways were initiated in the presence of particular NP sizes, suggesting the importance of size in mediating the interaction between NPs and specific cell types.

Summary: Force-responsive ordered carbonaceous frameworks (OCFs) have been synthesized for the first time, with atomically dispersed divalent Ni species and developed micropores achieved through carbonization of Ni porphyrin monomers. The OCFs exhibit a unique mechanical flexibility due to non-stacked graphene sheets, enabling force-driven reversible phase transition. The OCFs also boast the highest specific surface area (673 m(2) g(-1)) among its peers.

Summary: The study found that in polyol synthesis, controlling the size of nanoparticles (NPs) depends more on the nature of the precursor (metal salt) rather than the anion present in the base. For certain precursors such as H2PtCl6 or H2Pt(OH)(6), the size control depends on the base anion/Pt molar ratio.

Summary: The study demonstrates that the diffusion of hydrogen molecules inside layered MoS2 crystals depends on their direction parallel and perpendicular to the basal planes. Within the two-dimensional crystal layers, hydrogen molecules diffuse quickly, while diffusion perpendicular to the basal planes is significantly slower.
