Summary: This study examined the presence and prevalence of flavored electronic nicotine delivery systems (ENDS) in advertisements from 2015 to 2020. The results showed that almost half (45.5%) of the ads featured flavored products, with tobacco, menthol, and fruit being the most commonly advertised flavors. While tobacco and menthol flavors decreased over time, fruit, mint, and dessert flavors experienced an overall increase before declining in 2020.

The terminal subunits at the free barbed end adopt a flat F-actin conformation, while the CapZ protein undergoes major changes when binding to the barbed end. In contrast, subunits at the free pointed end adopt a twisted monomeric actin conformation, and tropomodulin binding forces the second subunit into an F-actin conformation. These structures reveal the differences between the ends and middle of F-actin and how these differences control various interactions.

Summary: This paper examines the impact of judicial independence on entrepreneurship using the staggered establishment of Circuit Courts (CCs) in China as a natural experiment. The findings reveal that local entrepreneurship activities increase by 4.19% following the introduction of CCs, and this effect remains significant even after conducting various robustness tests. The study suggests that reduced financial constraints may be a plausible mechanism through which CCs promote entrepreneurship. Furthermore, the positive influence of CCs is more pronounced in areas with high levels of corruption. In conclusion, this research highlights the importance of judicial independence reform in fostering entrepreneurship in emerging markets.

Summary: The Uniform Determination of Death Act (UDDA) has been a model statute for 40 years, but there is a growing recognition that it needs to be updated, especially in terms of aligning the legal criteria for determining death with the medical standards. This article argues for revising the UDDA to specify neurorespiratory criteria, which include permanent loss of consciousness, ability to breathe spontaneously, and brainstem reflexes, as the criteria for determining death.
