Summary: This study focuses on the preparation of electrodes for energy storage and water-splitting using the co-precipitation technique. Cyclic voltammetry and galvanostatic charge-discharge were used to evaluate the performance of the electrodes. The results showed that higher concentration of ammonia contributed to better diffusion and specific capacitance. The study also explored the application of linear sweep voltammetry and chronoamperometry in water-splitting.

Summary: The study investigates the physical and electrochemical properties of conducting diamond-compact electrode materials obtained by transforming graphite into diamond under high pressure and high temperature. The electroactivity of the compacts can be improved by heavy boron doping or adding catalytically active metal platinum. Compacts with high boron content or added platinum showed the highest electroactivity among the studied diamond materials.

Summary: Enhancing selectivity is crucial in the research of electrodes as catalysts or sensors. Nanoporous electrodes are widely used in various applications. This study proposes that surface adsorption of reactant molecules is another crucial factor in achieving selectivity. The degree of influence of the nanostructure on selectivity depends on the adsorptive capacity of the reaction.

Summary: The present study focuses on optimizing the electrochemical deposition parameters for platinum nanoparticles (PtNPs) on the surface of indium-tin-oxide (ITO). These PtNPs were then used to fabricate an immunoelectrode for the detection of the SAA biomarker. The immunoelectrode demonstrated the ability to detect Serum Amyloid A protein (SAA) within a concentration range of 10 fg/ml to 10(6) fg/ml.

Summary: This work investigates the electrochemical properties of PMMA-based gel polymer electrolytes, focusing on the effect of salt concentration and plasticizers on the conductivity and stability of the electrolyte. The study utilizes various characterization techniques such as conductivity measurements, thermal analysis, anodic stability testing, and FTIR spectroscopy. The findings reveal that the presence of unreacted PMMA monomer enhances ion conduction, and the addition of plasticizers improves the electrolyte's performance.

Summary: A heterostructured TiO2@MXene material rich in oxygen vacancies defects was developed as an electrochemical sensing platform for the determination of imidacloprid (IMI). TiO2 nanoparticles were grown on MXene to prevent stacking of MXene nanosheets, resulting in an excellent layered structure and large specific surface area. Electrochemical activation was applied to increase the concentration of surface oxygen vacancies, enhancing the conductivity and adsorption capacity of the composite. The VO-TiO2@MXene sensor exhibited high electrocatalytic activity for IMI reduction.
