Summary: This study analyzed the occurrence of anxiety levels in students who started working during the COVID-19 pandemic. The results showed that 51% of the students demonstrated symptoms of social phobia. Factors such as age, gender, marital status, health status, coronavirus infection, and vaccination were found to be significantly correlated with anxiety levels among the students.

Summary: The study assessed the economic efficiency of 22 photovoltaic farms in northeastern Poland and found that all studied PV farms are economically justified investments. Solar power plants of the largest analyzed capacity were the most profitable, but there was no linear relationship between productivity level and profitability. Due to terrain variations, landscape value, and social benefits, the support system for investments in the construction of photovoltaic power plants was found to be most effective in small-scale installations.

Summary: This study examined the incidence of type 1 diabetes in children aged 0-14 years in the North East of England and North Cumbria from 2012 to 2020. The findings suggest a potential decrease in the incidence of type 1 diabetes in this region. The reasons for this decline are unclear and further research is needed to understand the underlying factors.

Summary: The revitalization of small towns is crucial for improving the quality of life of residents living in degraded areas and high-risk social exclusion areas. While unemployment rates have decreased in the studied cities, the impact of revitalization projects on reducing crime rates and increasing educational and professional involvement of residents from marginalized areas is limited. The results may inform strategies to address socioeconomic problems and provide recommendations for revitalizing small towns in Europe and around the world.

Summary: Urban shrinkage is a common feature in many European cities and regions, with municipalities and villages also experiencing population decrease. The socio-spatial factors in north-eastern Polish municipalities are expected to lead to significant population decline by 2030. The study identifies that approximately 35% of the municipalities have the potential for population stabilization through targeted actions.

Summary: One of the greatest challenges facing the world today is global warming. This study analyzed the temporal and spatial variation of widespread heat days in the Middle East and North Africa region over a period of 141 years. The results showed changes in the quantity and distribution of heat days in different periods.

Summary: This paper discusses the hygric characterization of machine-made clay bricks from the early 20th century, conducting various laboratory tests and microstructural evaluations to identify the relationship between historic bricks and current replacements. The results will be used to establish a historic materials database for selecting appropriate bricks for restoration projects.

Summary: Water scarcity is becoming a major problem due to the decrease in water resources caused by global climate change. In this study, the water quality of Aktutan Pond, which supplies drinking water to Gumushane province, was investigated using the Hazen statistical method. The study found that the water quality met certain standards, but some parameters exceeded the maximum environmental quality system value.

Summary: Our study reveals the presence of previously unnoticed buried intrusions and effusive complexes as well as a few igneous massifs in the region between the Baltic Basin and the Lublin Basin. These alkaline igneous rocks were formed between approximately 348 and 338 million years ago. Deep seismic data shows the existence of large sills in both the crystalline basement and the overlying sedimentary cover, indicating the presence of a previously unrecognized Lublin-Baltic Mississippian Igneous Province (>120,000 km(2)). The volcaniclastic formations in adjacent basins provide evidence of denudation of this igneous province.

Summary: The North-East Poland area has abundant amber resources, but only a few finished amber products have been found. Some of the ornaments are similar to the amber beads from the Bell Beaker phenomenon, but most of them are unique and have no analogies with any Neolithic ornaments in Europe. In addition, it was discovered that some of the specimens were drilled with a metal tool, which was previously unheard of in this region.

Summary: Subcutaneous dirofilariosis is a rapidly spreading infection that affects dogs, carnivores, and even humans. This study aimed to assess the genetic diversity of the parasite and its spread across Europe, finding that climate change, movement of infected hosts, and the diversity of wild reservoirs contribute to the spread of the disease.

Summary: The study reveals that irrigation is necessary for planting Pinus svlvestris var mongolica in the arid region of Northeast China, as the local water resources are scarce and soil moisture cannot meet the tree's growth requirements. The transpiration characteristics of Pinus svlvestris var mongolica are influenced by meteorological factors and growth parameters, especially by air temperature, solar radiation, and vapor pressure deficit. The study on transpiration of this tree species is crucial for the survival of trees in this region.

Summary: In a survey in Golestan province, two populations belonging to the family Tylenchidae were discovered, one tentatively identified as a new species in the genus Filenchus based on morphological characteristics. Another species, Malenchus gilanensis, was also studied and included in an updated LSU phylogeny of the genus Malenchus. The molecular phylogenetic relationships of the new species were reconstructed using SSU and LSU D2-D3 rDNA sequences.

Summary: This study examines the rate of change in mangrove forest cover in two regencies and one city located on the east coast of North Sumatra province over a period of three decades. The main drivers of mangrove deforestation were conversion to agricultural lands and ponds. The normalised difference vegetation index showed the current extent of mangroves in North Sumatra Province in 2020.

Summary: Gonorrhoea is a significant public health concern globally, and the 2020 European guideline provides updated evidence-based guidance on diagnosis and treatment to address increasing incidence and concerns about ceftriaxone resistance. The guideline emphasizes the importance of increased testing, dual antimicrobial therapy, test of cure, and enhanced surveillance to control and mitigate the spread of antimicrobial resistance in gonorrhoea.
