Summary: In this study, we explore the use of Bayesian methods for hyperspectral subpixel target detection. The uncertainty associated with the target fill factor is probabilized using a suitable prior. We present a general framework that compares different background distribution models, Bayesian priors, and numerical schemes for evaluating the Bayesian integral. The Bayesian methods outperform their GLRT-based counterparts, especially when nonuniform priors emphasizing smaller target fill factors are incorporated.

Summary: This paper proposes a method to estimate antenna impedance in MISO receivers and addresses the problem of when impedance estimation is necessary. By formulating the problem as a hypothesis test and deriving a generalized likelihood-ratio test detector, the authors achieved a better trade-off between detection and false alarm compared to a reference detector. The results show that transmit diversity significantly improves detection accuracy, especially in slow fading channels.

Summary: In recent years, the exponential growth in the number and scale of malicious codes has posed an increasing threat to cybersecurity. Therefore, it is of great research value to quickly identify malware variants and understand their family information. This study proposes a binary code module similarity detection method called ModDiff, which improves the efficiency and accuracy of homology detection by focusing on the modular composition of malware and utilizing deep-learning techniques.

Summary: We propose an adaptive method for fine-tuning hyperparameters in edge-preserving regularization for PET image reconstruction. Our method precisely tunes the hyperparameters initially set with a fixed value for the entire image by adaptively adjusting the control parameter at each pixel based on the patch similarities calculated from the previous iteration. Experimental results demonstrate that our method effectively enhances the overall reconstruction accuracy across multiple image quality metrics.

Summary: This study introduces two algorithms to reconstruct jigsaw puzzles using a color compatibility feature. Two realistic application cases were examined, one with the original image and the other without it. The study also involved calculating the transformation matrix to determine the real positions of each puzzle piece and transmitting the positional information to a robotic arm for accurate placement. The algorithms achieved an average success rate of 87.1% when tested on 35-piece and 70-piece puzzles, demonstrating improved accuracy in handling complex textural images compared to the human visual system.

Summary: Aggregating temporal features from other frames has been proven effective for video object detection. However, traditional methods have shortcomings in ignoring useful context information and aggregating proposal-level features as a whole. To address this, a Context and Structure Mining Network is proposed to better aggregate features for video object detection.

Summary: With the popularization of unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs), the scarcity of spectrum resources has become an issue. To address this, a Bayesian quickest detection-based spectrum sensing method for cognitive UAV networks is proposed. By establishing a multislot spectrum sensing model, cooperative spectrum sensing (CSS) is achieved within a single UAV, avoiding the limitations of cooperation among multiple UAVs. Bayesian quickest detection is used to implement multislot spectrum sensing, and its false alarm probability and detection delay are evaluated. The tradeoff problem between false alarm and detection delay is formulated and solved.

Summary: In this article, a multiframe detection architecture based on GLRT is proposed to handle complex multitarget detection and tracking in radar systems. Previous assumptions about target separation and single measurement cell occupancy are relaxed. The architecture considers energy integration of real targets and accurate data association for arbitrarily located targets. A novel detection statistic is derived, and two detection schemes for known and unknown number of targets are developed. The proposed architectures improve detection performance for multiple dim targets and suppress tracks swap or mispairing. Numerical results and real radar data tests verify the effectiveness of the algorithms.

Summary: By analyzing data from ACT DR4, SPT-3G 2018, Planck polarization, and restricted Planck temperature data, we found a 3.3 sigma preference for early dark energy (EDE) over ACDM. This marks the first time that a moderate preference for EDE has been reported for these combined CMB datasets including Planck polarization.

Summary: The paper introduces a new post-processing algorithm, REXPACO, dedicated to reconstructing the spatial distribution of light received from off-axis sources, particularly circumstellar disks. This algorithm proves useful in reducing typical ADI artifacts and better disentangling the signal of these sources from the residual stellar contamination, showing promising results in injecting fake circumstellar disks. The processing is unsupervised and all tuning parameters are directly estimated from the data.

Summary: In-line digital holography is a powerful tool for imaging absorbing and phase objects, but the holograms can be corrupted by background signals. By using two holograms of the same object at different locations, an inverse problems approach can be applied to estimate the sample's complex transmittance and the contribution of background interference. Experimental results with stained bacteria demonstrate improved reconstructions of the sample while considering the background contribution.
