Summary: This study investigated the expression and function of ZNF529-AS1 in hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC) and explored its prognostic significance. The results showed that ZNF529-AS1 was highly expressed in HCC and correlated with clinicopathological characteristics of HCC patients. Immunological analysis revealed its association with immune cell abundance and function. Knockdown of ZNF529-AS1 inhibited HCC cell invasion and migration.

Summary: This study aims to explore new markers and therapeutic targets for hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC). It was found that hnRNPA1 expression was upregulated in HCC tissues and correlated with the pathological stage of HCC patients. Knockdown of hnRNPA1 gene inhibited tumor growth in vivo and reversed the effects on proliferation, migration, and invasion, while promoting apoptosis in vitro. Additionally, down-regulation of hnRNPA1 gene expression inhibited the activity of the MEK/ERK pathway.

Summary: Through integrated bioinformatics analysis and experimental validation, this study identified key genes associated with prognosis in HCC patients, with THRSP selected for further investigation. Experimental results confirmed that THRSP was downregulated in HCC tissues and cell lines, and silencing of THRSP promoted HCC progression. Additionally, THRSP expression was also negatively correlated with the infiltration levels of immune cells.

Summary: This study found that miR-9-5p can predict vascular invasion and prognosis in hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC) patients. Experimental results showed that downregulation of miR-9-5p inhibits migration, invasion, and angiogenesis of HCC cells. MiR-9-5p is an independent risk factor for HCC, and the nomogram based on miR-9-5p has a good predictive value for HCC survival.

Summary: This study found that the expression level of ethanolamine-phosphate phospho-lyase (ETNPPL) is decreased in hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC) and is associated with poor prognosis and cell metastasis. ETNPPL may serve as a potential diagnostic, prognostic, and therapeutic target for HCC.

Summary: The study suggests that surgical resection may provide better outcomes compared to systemic therapy for HCC patients with vascular invasion. Factors such as ethnicity, clinical characteristics, and treating facility type and region were associated with the likelihood of receiving surgical resection.

Summary: The prognostic value of bile duct invasion (BDI) in hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC) remains controversial. This study found that BDI is an independent risk factor for overall survival (OS) in HCC patients undergoing R0 resection. Adjusted staging systems incorporating BDI status showed improved predictive performance compared to current staging systems, which may facilitate clinical decision-making.

Summary: NCAPG upregulation is associated with poor prognosis in hepatocellular carcinoma patients with vascular invasion, and serves as an independent predictor of patient survival outcomes. NCAPG expression levels are related to DNA hypomethylation status, tumor immune cell infiltration, and immune cell-related biomarker expression.

Summary: Microvascular invasion (MVI) significantly impacts the prognosis of patients with hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC) after R0 liver resection. Among the eight commonly used staging systems, the Hong Kong Liver Cancer (HKLC) staging system showed the highest accuracy in predicting the prognosis of MVI patients. Incorporating MVI into current HCC staging systems may be necessary based on the findings.

Summary: This study aimed to establish prediction models for postoperative survival in hepatitis B virus-related hepatocellular carcinoma (HBV-HCC) with microvascular invasion (MVI). Nomograms for disease recurrence and overall survival (OS) were developed using preoperative serological indicators, tumor clinicopathologic features, surgical margin, and postoperative adjuvant TACE. The nomograms showed good predictive performance and accurately stratified patients into different risk groups.

Summary: This study reveals that ANXA10 is downregulated in liver hepatocellular carcinoma (LIHC) and is closely associated with clinicopathological features, immunocytes, cancer-related pathways, m6A modification, and a ceRNA network. A three-gene prognostic signature rooted in ANXA10-related immunomodulators was determined as an independent prognostic predictor, and a nomogram was constructed with high accuracy for survival prediction. In vitro experiments also showed that upregulation of ANXA10 inhibits LIHC cell proliferation and migration.

Summary: This study developed a deep convolutional neural network model based on contrast-enhanced ultrasound to predict microvascular invasion in hepatocellular carcinoma patients and thus predict prognosis. The CECL-DCNN model showed higher specificity and accuracy in predicting MVI compared to clinical models.
