A novel three-dimensional (3-D) lanthanide metal-organic frameworks, {[Gd-2(ABTC)(2)(DMF)(2)(H2O)(2)]center dot-DMF center dot H2O}(n) 1 (L = H(3)ABTC = 3, 4', 5-azobenzenetricarboxylic acid, DMF=N,N'-dimethylformamide) has been prepared under mild conditions, and characterized by single-crystal X-ray diffraction, IR spectra, PXRD, and TG analysis. The magnetic measurement shows that 1 presents antiferromagnetic behavior. (C) 2010 Elsevier B.V. All rights reserved.
