Summary: We synthesized and characterized nine copper(II) compounds, including four with the general formula [Cu(NNO)(NO3)] and five mixed chelates [Cu(NNO)(N-N)]+. The compounds showed different geometries in solution, with some having square-planar or square-based pyramid structures. The complexes exhibited biological activity, and the mixed compounds showed higher activity. The study also found that the less oxidizing species with a greater number of conjugated rings had better biological activity.

Summary: Twelve schiff base metal complexes were synthesized and studied for their application in adsorption desulfurization. The schiff base metal complex of melamine and cobalt showed the best adsorption performance. Characterization and analysis of the complex revealed a maximum adsorption capacity of 21.66 mg/g for DBT, and the adsorption capacity remained stable even after being reused for 5 times. The adsorption process followed the Freundlich adsorption isothermal model and the pseudo-second-order model kinetics. In addition, the adsorbent demonstrated different removal efficiencies for various sulfides, with dibenzothiophene showing the highest removal efficiency.

Summary: Most metal complexes of Schiff bases, which can be easily structurally altered, have an azomethine group as a coordination site. These complexes show outstanding catalytic activities in various chemical processes. Hydrazone-based Schiff base complexes offer enhanced properties and thermal stabilities, making them suitable for high-temperature catalysis.

Summary: This review discusses the reactions of organic molecules mediated by a metal center, which can lead to different final connectivity compared to reactions without metal. The focus is on the template methods for the reaction between a carbonyl compound and a primary aliphatic diamine to obtain metal complexes. The screening of transition metals with template effects, particularly copper(II), and their reactivity and coordination geometries are also presented.

Summary: In this study, a series of structurally well-defined dicarboxylate and dinitrate dinickel complexes were synthesized with ethyl N-substituted benzotriazole-containing diamine-bisphenolate derivatives as ligands. These complexes showed high catalytic activity for the copolymerization of CO2 with cyclohexene oxide, yielding CO2-based polycarbonates with controllable and immortal properties. The kinetics of the copolymerization process was systematically studied, revealing a first-order dependence on both the nickel catalyst and monomer concentrations.
