Summary: The advantages of efficient and flexible digital printing are affected by the negative environmental impact of synthetic dyes and chemicals. In order to address this issue, we developed biodegradable natural dye inks for inkjet printing. These inks were tested for storage stability and printing quality on cotton and silk fabrics. The results showed that the inks had good storage stability, excellent printing sharpness, and high color fastness. This study demonstrates the usefulness and eco-friendly nature of using biodegradable natural dye inks in textile printing.

Summary: This study describes the behavior of nanoporous structures on two coated papers and identifies that the paper with smaller pore size is more suitable for humidity measurement. The use of nanoporous inorganic thin films with high surface to volume ratio enables the detection of water molecules in the environment. The hydrophilic nature of the surface coating is found to be more active compared to cellulosic paper in sensing water vapor. Prototype sensors made by combining resistance and capacitance variations of interdigitated electrodes responded to the entire range of 15% 92% RH. The novelty of this work lies in the use of low-cost and biodegradable nanocoated papers for field applications.

Summary: Irregularities in breathing patterns can be predicted with the help of breath monitor sensors that detect variations in humidity during inhalation and exhalation. Graphene-based RH sensors show excellent sensitivity, stability, and repeatability. By embedding the sensor into a face mask and interfacing it with a microcontroller, different breathing situations can be measured, making it a promising wearable and disposable healthcare technology.

Summary: This study investigates the effects of different variables associated with the inkjet printing process on the quality of the resulting print. It specifically looks at the impact of chemicals and auxiliaries used in fabric pretreatment and factors like steaming time. The findings show that different thickeners have varying effects on ink penetration and spreading, highlighting the importance of selecting the right type of thickener for predictable and controllable printing outcomes.

Summary: An inkjet-printed paper electrode with gold nanoparticle ink was developed as a non-enzymatic electrochemical sensor for detecting glucose in blood serum. The electrode showed excellent electrochemical activity, rapid electron transfer kinetics, a wide linear range for glucose measurement, and a low detection limit. The advantages of using the electrode in electrochemical measurements include flexibility, user-friendliness, biodegradability, cost-effectiveness, and enzyme-free characteristics compared to commercially available sensors.

Summary: A laponite/PVA nanocomposite coating was developed to enhance the mechanical stability of foldable printed circuits on paper. The coating employed laponite nanoclay as a flocculant to induce ink deposition and formation of conductive circuits. Cross-linking of laponite and PVA with paper fibers was done to improve the strain durability of the coating during folding.

Summary: This study presents a method for improving wood-based panel surface staining using environmentally friendly water-based inks, water-based primers, and digital inkjet coloring technology. The addition of a water-based primer coating enhances the adhesion of the water-based inkjet coating and covers the scar defects of the wood while preserving the natural pore texture. This provides a feasible method for color modification on artificial panel surfaces.
