Summary: The study investigated the subjective impact of performance-based reimbursement (PBR) systems in Swedish healthcare on physicians' work and patient care, as well as its association with stress-induced exhaustion disorders among physicians. The findings revealed that PBR negatively influenced physicians' work and health, and increased the risk of stress-induced exhaustion disorder. Policymakers should critically review PBR systems to minimize its negative impact on physicians' work and health.

Summary: This study investigates the impact of Audit Committee, firm characteristics, and ISO 14001 on environmental performance. It also analyzes the influence of environmental performance on financial performance. The research employs multiple linear regression for data analysis and collects data from the annual reports of companies receiving PROPER Award and listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchanges from 2015 to 2019. The results indicate that Audit Committee, firm characteristics, and ISO 14001 significantly affect environmental performance. Moreover, environmental performance positively influences financial performance. This study contributes as a reference for government in formulating environmental policies towards achieving sustainable development goals (SDGs).

Summary: This paper investigates the optimal tracking performance based on the codec, colored noise, and bandwidth constraints in the network time-delay systems. The system's tracking performance is determined by the nonminimum phase zero and unstable pole of the controlled plant, and can also be significantly impacted by codec, colored noise, and bandwidth constraints. The study uses the coprime factorizations method and spectral decomposition technology to obtain the optimal two-degree-of-freedom compensator and the dominant expression of the system's optimal tracking performance. Two simulation examples are provided to validate the theory.

Summary: This study critically examines the impact of international integration on voter behavior and provides empirical analysis. The results indicate that voter behavior is influenced to some extent by government performance, but do not support the balancing demands hypothesis. Therefore, performance in economic and non-economic areas remains important for voters.

Summary: This article presents a composite guidance law with a three-stage proportional navigation structure for the simultaneous arrival of multiple missiles. It proposes different navigation constants at each stage to achieve the desired impact time. The proposed law sequentially increases, maintains, and decreases the look angle to satisfy the seeker's field-of-view constraint. The simple PN-based structure of the law provides an exact closed-loop solution and useful information for practical implementation.

Summary: Changes in household consumption patterns to low-carbon alternatives are necessary to decrease global greenhouse gas emissions. Accurate perceptions about the mitigation potential of different behaviors can help consumers reduce their emissions. This study found that the mitigation potential of certain behaviors was underestimated while the potential of others was overestimated.

Summary: This article addresses telework issues by examining the impact of various factors on job performance, including motivation, coordination dependence, self-organizing abilities, and stress. The study conducted with 219 Romanian employees found that employee motivation has a positive impact on performance, coordination dependence has a negative impact, coordination dependence is moderately correlated with perceived stress during teleworking, and self-organizing abilities are strongly linked to perceived motivation. The hypothesis that perceived stress negatively affects performance was not supported. These findings contribute to the telework literature and can inform future teleworking strategies.

Summary: This paper studies the distributed cooperative control problem for multiple surface vessels subject to unknown environmental disturbances, model uncertainties, unavailable velocities and prescribed performance constraints. Firstly, a fixed-time extended state observer is designed to provide estimations of velocities and disturbances. Secondly, a hyperbolic cosecant prescribed performance function is incorporated to improve the convergence performance of the vessels. Finally, a fixed-time event-triggered control law with prescribed performance constraint is applied, and the stability of the closed-loop system is analyzed using Lyapunov function theory.

Summary: This article focuses on the optimal tracking performance of linear time-invariant discrete-time MIMO systems considering factors such as quantization, channel noise, encoding-decoding, and bandwidth constraints. The expression of tracking performance is described using inner-outer factorization obtained by stabilizing two-degree-of-freedom compensators. The limitations of tracking performance are determined by nonminimum phase zeros and unstable poles of the plant, while factors like time delay, encoding-decoding, channel noise, quantization, and bandwidth constraints also play a role in impacting performance.

Summary: The study shows that achievement goals and perceived reading instruction have significant impacts on the reading performance of B-S-J-Z students in mainland China. Performance and avoidance goals are important for reading performance, and the disciplinary climate, adaptative instruction, and teachers' stimulation are positively correlated with reading performance. Additionally, there are cross-level interactions between personal achievement goals and school reading instruction.

Summary: This study compared intention to receive the seasonal influenza vaccine and a prospective COVID-19 vaccine, and identified related factors. Factors positively associated with COVID-19 vaccine intention were perceived knowledge sufficiency about vaccine safety, beliefs about vaccine safety, and living in an area of low deprivation. The only factor positively associated with influenza vaccine intention was past influenza behavior. Favorable vaccine attitudes and the expectation from family or friends to accept the vaccine were the strongest common predictors of intention.

Summary: This study examined weight regain after behavioural weight management programs (BWMPs) and its impact on quality of life and cost-effectiveness. The results showed that the intervention groups had greater weight loss than the control groups at program end, but experienced greater weight regain afterwards for at least 5 years. Quality of life improved in the intervention groups initially but returned to control levels as the weight difference between groups diminished.

Summary: Intervention science faces a paradox where the most vulnerable populations require behavior change, but current models and interventions are less successful in these populations. This issue can be explained by a focus on causation and individual cognitions, lack of research on vulnerable populations, and a dominance of high-income country researchers. To address this issue, collaboration, improved reporting, and more rigorous designs are suggested. It is urgent to change research approaches to enhance the social utility and credibility of intervention science.

Summary: This study explores the applicability of the theoretical framework of acceptability (TFA) in surgical interventions and provides methodological guidance for its systematic use in research. Acceptability was assessed through theory-informed semi-structured interviews with 15 patients who had undergone joint replacement surgery at least 3 months ago. Results show that the TFA is sufficient for assessing acceptability but requires an additional construct to capture perceptions of risk and safety.
