A novel model of the magnetic domain wall is obtained in order to consider its arbitrary spin structure including the ferromagnetic and antiferromagnetic spin system. The width delta of a magnetic domain wall is given by delta = root A vertical bar cos theta vertical bar/K, where A and K are the exchange stiffness and the magnetic anisotropy constants, respectively. In this equation, the factor root vertical bar cos theta vertical bar is projected to the spin structure, where theta represents the angle between the nearest neighboring spins. Thus, the width of the magnetic domain wall is possibly reduced considering the finite value of angle theta in an antiferromagnet compared with the width of a ferromagnetic domain wall.
