Summary: This article proposes an FPGA-only solution for peak detection, which eliminates the need for external components and offers compactness and flexibility. By using an LVDS comparator and GPIOs, the practical deployment of peak detection is achieved, and a resource-efficient and calibration-free time-to-digital converter architecture is proposed using FPGA. The performance evaluation of the implemented prototype demonstrates satisfying results.

Summary: In order to solve the low-cost problem of highspeed current sampling in digital buck controllers, this article proposes a current estimation method based on the direct current resistance current detection principle. The inductor current including direct current (DC) and alternating current (AC) is obtained by performing high-frequency digital filtering on the voltage across the inductor. The proposed algorithm is verified in a buck prototyping board, and experimental results show that the method is effective in both fixed frequency and variable frequency control modes, with DC and AC accuracy reaching 5% and 2% respectively, and an inductor current delay within 100 ns.

Summary: With the rapid development of new energy technology, there is an increasing number of grid-connected systems and switching control frequency, making the operation state of the power grid more complicated. This paper proposes a real-time simulation design based on FPGA to monitor the operation of the power grid. The simulation module achieves an accuracy of about 3% relative error while maintaining real-time performance.

Summary: This paper presents a True Random Number Generator (TRNG) implemented using latched-XOR (LX) gates. The proposed TRNG improves the throughput of conventional TRNGs by combining latches metastability and ring oscillators jitter. Experimental results show that the generated bitstreams exhibit good randomness and the TRNG is robust to voltage and temperature variations. The FPGA implementation is compact and efficient, achieving high throughput.

Summary: This paper presents a parallel multichain cross segmentation method to improve the performance of FPGA-TDC in high-precision optical fiber transmission and optical sensing applications. The proposed method achieves high precision and low temperature coefficient by merging multiple chains into an equivalent chain. Experimental results show that the TDC performance is significantly improved and the temperature variation impact is reduced. Moreover, the proposed method also reduces the complexity of the circuit and the resource usage.
