Summary: Unhealthy traffic conditions have negative implications for environment-friendly and sustainable development. This study compares the effects of weather on traffic conditions in multiple cities and finds a strong association between complex weather measurements and traffic conditions. The study also explores the different impacts of weather on traffic conditions on weekdays and non-weekdays.

Summary: This paper reviews and analyzes the maneuvering target tracking model and proposes an improved algorithm for accurately estimating the target's state in the presence of measurement noise. The proposed method uses the multiple-model Interacting Multiple Model algorithm and introduces higher-order Markov models to describe the system behavior. The results show that the algorithm performs well in target tracking.

Summary: The study of using ultra-wideband (UWB) sensors for robot localization in indoor environments without access to GNSS is gaining traction. UWB-based positioning is advantageous in environments with no feature points, but requires pre-installation of UWB anchors and accurate coordinates. A framework integrating an inertial measurement unit (IMU) sensor and UWB sensor based on an interacting multiple model (IMM) filter is proposed to address the limitations of UWB-based positioning. Additionally, a non-line-of-sight (NLOS) robust UWB ranging model is suggested to improve pose estimation performance in environments with obstacles or walls. The proposed framework's localization performance is verified through experiments in real indoor environments.

Summary: This paper introduces a novel approach to extend interacting multiple model filters and smoothers to manifold state spaces based on the boxplus method. The linear approximation for mixing Gaussians and the Rauch-Tung-Striebel smoother are proposed for single models on boxplus manifolds, with evaluation showing comparable performance to specialized quaternion solutions. The benefit of this principled approach lies in its generality towards manifold state spaces, with evaluations and generic implementations being published open source.

Summary: This study investigates the tracking of aircraft using passive sensors with poor measurement precision and a variable update rate. By comparing the Interacting Multiple Model (IMM) and the Variable Structure Interacting Multiple Model (VS-IMM), it is found that the VS-IMM performs the best in areas of both high and low measurement precision.

Summary: This article presents a new algorithm for adaptive explicit nonlinear model predictive control (eNMPC) with applications to fault tolerance. The controller's explicit solution is designed with multiple dynamic models to address plant-model mismatch, with each model weighted by a parameter variable determined by mode probabilities. The developed strategy is validated on attitude maneuvers for a nonlinear spacecraft system, showing that eNMPC benefits from weighted system models and achieves similar levels of tracking error to standard controllers.

Summary: An algorithm based on the Interacting Multiple Model (IMM) estimation strategy is proposed to predict trajectories involving lane-changing, lane-keeping, and turning motion of vehicles. The algorithm uses curvi-linear coordinates and road geometry to predict the trajectory based on prior behavioral maneuvers. It is compared with a Kalman Filter based formulation and machine learning-based strategies for trajectory prediction.

Summary: This article introduces an IMM filter with multiple models for improving the visual-inertial navigation performance of microaerial vehicles. By combining conventional VIN and drag force VIN within an error-state IMM filtering framework, the system's adaptability and consistency in different scenarios are enhanced. The design of measurement models using epipolar geometry constraints improves computational efficiency of state updates.

Summary: This paper proposes a Bayesian probabilistic model for forecasting bus travel time and estimated time of arrival (ETA). The model can capture interactions between buses, handle missing values, and depict the multimodality in bus travel time distributions. Using time-varying mixing coefficients, it can infer systematic temporal variations in bus operation.

Summary: This paper proposes an adaptive parameter selection of Pearson VII distribution based on interacting multiple model (IMM) Kalman filter (IMM-PVIIKF). Both the one-step prediction and the measurement likelihood in the model conditional filtering process are modeled as Pearson VII distributions. They are decomposed into Gaussian-Gamma Hierarchies (GGH) and matched to the time-varying heavy-tailed properties of the noises. A new model probability update method for filters under non-Gaussian conditions is derived. Simulation results show that the proposed filter has better robustness and adaptability to generalized non-stationary noises than existing filters.

Summary: A viscoelastic traffic flow model is developed to estimate travel time through a composite ring road, with numerical tests conducted to provide node traffic speed. It is found that ramp effects can impact traffic flow behavior, including causing congestion and traffic shock, while off ramp flow can shorten mean travel time and increase its value.
