Summary: Based on symmetry-breaking perturbations, leaky-wave metasurfaces offer pointwise control of the amplitude, phase and polarization of surface emission, which provides a universal generalization of grating couplers for integrated photonics. These metasurfaces integrate guided-wave photonic systems and enable full command over four optical degrees of freedom across large apertures, offering enhanced functionalities for controlling amplitude, phase, and polarization in light scattering. This hybrid approach merges guided and free-space optics, opening up applications in imaging, communications, augmented reality, quantum optics, LIDAR, and integrated photonic systems.

Summary: This paper presents a new single-inductor based multiple-input-multiple-output (MIMO) converter for CubeSat EPS to achieve a smaller footprint. The operational principles, steady-state analysis, and converter modeling of the proposed converter are discussed. A control strategy is developed for voltage regulation and maximum power point tracking (MPPT) of the CubeSat loads under varying irradiation conditions. An experimental prototype based on the 1 U CubeSat specifications is developed to validate the performance of the proposed MIMO converter.

Summary: This article presents a novel compact dual-element capsule endoscopic MIMO antenna operating at 915 MHz ISM band. Both radiating elements are circularly polarized, with Antenna-1 operating at LHCP and Antenna-2 operating at RHCP. The antenna provides polarization diversity and pattern diversity due to the opposite direction of radiation from the two elements. The antenna has compact dimensions, high isolation, and good performance in SAR, LM, and MIMO channel parameters.

Summary: Propagation path loss estimation is crucial for the design and implementation of 4G wireless networks. Various multipath mechanisms can lead to strong attenuation of radio signals, and different approaches are used to calculate path loss for different antenna models. Results showed that varying base station antenna height impacts path loss, with the best performance observed at 41 meters for MIMO infrastructure in the 900, 1800, and 2100 MHz bands.

Summary: A compact substrate-integrated waveguide (SIW) filtering multiple-input multiple-output magnetic dipole antenna with high selectivity and high isolation is proposed. Each filtering antenna element contains a SIW cavity, a half-mode SIW cavity, and a magnetic dipole antenna with backed ground. Meanwhile, the SIW cavity and the half-mode SIW cavity are vertically connected through magnetic coupling, and second-order filtering frequency responses can be obtained. Owing to the cross-coupling between the feeding line and antenna, two radiation nulls can be created to realize high selectivity. Based on the radiation mechanism of the magnetic dipole antenna and polarization diversity, high isolation can be obtained. The measured isolation and the envelope correlation coefficient are greater than 24 dB and less than 0.004, respectively.
