Summary: This paper discusses an elliptical ultrawideband (UWB) antenna and a dual-band UWB notch antenna. The UWB antenna achieves a bandwidth of 2.5-11 GHz with a gain of 4.9 dB and a linear phase response. The dual-band UWB notch antenna rejects WLAN and ITU bands from 5.2-5.7 GHz and 7.2-8.5 GHz, respectively, within the impedance bandwidth of 2.5-11 GHz.

Summary: This paper presents a triband antenna designed for X-band applications, which exhibits three operating bands that can be independently controlled. The antenna utilizes a patch with a truncated corner slot and complementary split-ring resonators in the ground plane. Additionally, it features a notch-band characteristic at 10.7 GHz due to the antiresonant behavior of the resonator structures. A parametric study is conducted to understand the independent resonance tuning behavior of the antenna. Both simulated and measured results are presented, showing good agreement.

Summary: This paper proposes a step-by-step design procedure for obtaining independent dual band-notch performance in a tunable dual band-notched UWB antenna. The proposed antenna consists of a semicircle ring-like radiating patch, an elliptical-shaped slot, double split ring resonators, and a defected ground structure (DGS). By loading varactor diodes and changing the reverse bias voltage, a wider band-notched tuning range can be achieved. The experimental results show efficient suppression of narrow-band interference signals and improved antenna operating performance. The proposed antenna has a simple structure, low profile, compact size, and extensive independent tunable range.
