Summary: The majority of providers rated virtual care as equivalent to or higher in quality and efficiency compared with in-person care with masks. Findings showed that the inability to conduct a physical examination and patient technical difficulties were significant challenges. Mental health providers were more comfortable seeing a larger proportion of patients virtually compared with other specialties.

Summary: Clinicians who are adaptable and willing to incorporate technology into their clinical practice are more likely to utilize telemedicine. The use of telemedicine is associated with personal characteristics, preferences, and technological proficiency. The advantages of telemedicine include decreased barriers for patients and convenience for clinicians, while technical difficulties are a disadvantage for both patients and clinicians.
