Alternative Concept of Solids Plasticity

Based on an alternative concept a new model of plasticity of crystalline bodies is proposed. According to this concept the ideal crystal lattice can be in stable or unstable states. The state of crystal lattice depends on the shape of the interatomic interaction potential and external parameters - temperature and pressure. The shape of the potential could spherically-symmetric or asymmetric. It depends from the nature of the density distribution of valence electrons in space. In the case of spherically-symmetric potential, solids with an unstable crystal lattice are formed, and in the second case with a stable one. Solids with a stable crystal lattice are strong and non plastic with an unstable crystal lattice they are plastic and not strong.
