Addressing the neurochemical variations and brain abnormalities linked to schizophrenia. The objective of this study is to look at the association between neurotransmitter pathways, antipsychotic medication, and grey matter shrinkage in schizophrenia patients.A structural MRI investigation was done on 28 schizophrenia patients and an equal number of healthy subjects. Emphasizing on four key neurotransmitters (dopamine, serotonin, glutamate, and GABA) and their relationships to antipsychotic drugs, and grey matter changes. In comparison to healthy participants, our findings demonstrated significant grey matter degeneration in schizophrenia patients.
