海报摘要

This poster delves into the complexities of eating disorders (EDs), emphasizing their multifaceted nature and the need for comprehensive research. Covering studies from the past three decades, the reasearch explores various factors influencing EDs, including genetics, environment, culture, and societal standards. It challenges stereotypes, highlighting that EDs extend beyond the Western ideal of extreme thinness and affect diverse demographic groups. Intersectionality emerges as a critical concept, emphasizing the importance of considering factors such as gender, ethnicity, and sexual orientation in understanding and treating EDs. It also emphasises the significance of early detection and comprehensive treatment modalities like Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (CBT-E) and Family-Based Treatment (FBT). It discusses the physiological and psychological consequences of EDs, as well as the need for tailored interventions for different populations.
