海报摘要

Sexual consent is a topic that has been understudied during adolescence (Padilla-Walker et al., 2020) but has a major impact on healthy sexual practices and outcomes (Muehlenhard et al., 2016). Due to prior studies exploring factors contributing to adolescent sexual development, we know that parents (Flores & Barroso, 2017) and gendered sex beliefs (Richards et al., 2022) are particularly relevant in the sexual consent socialization process. On account of this, this study investigates parent consent and gendered sex beliefs' influence on parent-child consent communication through multiple regression analysis. The results suggest that parents' consent and gendered sex beliefs are independently relevant in predicting the frequency of consent communication, but their interaction is not significantly associated with differences in consent communication.
