海报摘要

A retrospective study of the ionosphere perturbation indices WUf, WLf, and WEf of the critical frequency foF2 at Moscow, Slough-Chilton, Canberra, and Port Stanley stations from 1945 to 2020 shows asymmetry in the trends in the Northern and Southern hemispheres: the decline of the 3h indices at Moscow and Slough-Chilton and the growth of the ionosphere disturbances in Canberra and Port Stanley. The phenomenon of the North-South asymmetry has been earlier observed with the different space environment characteristics. At the same time, a clear decreasing trend of the geomagnetic activity of Kp, Ap, aa and Dst indices is observed during the recent solar cycles. The difference in the changes of the indices of geomagnetic and ionospheric activity suggests the independent character of these two types of geophysical fields and a presence of other sources of ionospheric activity in addition to the sources of variability of the magnetosphere.
