The luminescence decays in solid are complex for at least two reasons : 1-The quenching rate depends on the distance between the exciton and the trap. 2-The decay of a population with an average of 1 trap per exciton defers from the decay of a population with exactly one trap per exciton. In spite of this difficulty, we show that the decay rate depends linearly on the average number of traps per exciton, thanks to a new equation. The presence of a non-quenched population whose fraction follows the Perrin equation, is the proof of the corpuscular nature of traps.
