One small, one large, and one negative were rejected. I provided a reference to the rejecting reviewer, claiming that there were similarities between individuals (although there were still significant differences). The rejection was based on insufficient innovation, so I attempted to appeal. I submitted a 26-page appeal, but it was unsuccessful. I was rejected. Overall, JEC (Journal of Environmental Chemistry) is still very good, with fast reviewing process. I hope to have the opportunity to be accepted in the future.
