I submitted on January 18th, and it was quite fast to reach the reviewer. They provided feedback on June 15th, but the feedback was incorrect. After several reminders, the editor replied with an official response of waiting. I waited for over a month and received a few suggestions for revision. After sending the revised manuscript, it took another month for them to review it. The minor revisions were rejected, and the reasons for rejection were weak. I wasn't given a chance to make further revisions, and the reasons for rejection were not indicated in the reviewer's comments. I'm not saying that this journal is bad, as I had high expectations before. My senior colleague submitted and got accepted in less than two months, which was very fast. I don't understand why it took nearly nine months for my submission to be rejected after minor revisions, and why there was a delay. The feedback was also incorrect. Sigh, I will submit to another journal, which hopefully will have a faster review process.
