It cannot be published in a first-tier or even a second-tier journal, so I decided to submit it to this well-established journal in the field. I only knew that it might be slow, but since I don't need the article in the short term, I submitted it. However, I only realized after submitting that it is indeed very slow:

I submitted it on January 3, 2023, and it took over two months until March 13 for it to be assigned to an editor. As of April 13, it is still under review.

Submitting to this journal requires reserving half a year to a year for the publication process.

I want to cry but there are no tears.

Same here on the 10th floor, I also encountered the same issue. The editor ignored it and believed that the reviewer had no problem. The review process took four months, and the other two reviewers had no issues. The third reviewer raised unrelated questions and, in the end, the submission was rejected.
