The number of articles published unexpectedly reached 2000, which is really quite high. I would also like to complain a bit. I reviewed a paper for TGRS and felt that it lacked innovation in terms of permutation and combination. Therefore, I rejected it. However, to my surprise, the paper was not rejected but accepted instead. I truly don't understand what kind of operation this is.

A large part of RSE is application articles. Simply changing a machine learning model to create a product is just an article, it is nothing more than a high application citation rate. Don't laugh at others while being inferior, as the quality of many articles is also not praiseworthy!

If TGRS continues like this, it will only be comparable to a second-tier journal. With 2200 published articles per year, it boasts a self-citation rate of 28% and a serious tendency for self-promotion. The acceptance rate is high in the first-tier journals. Several master's students are easily accepted after minor/major revisions, with a mere improvement of 0.5 in the network. What is the actual significance? Of course, the fast review process, similar to RS, is an advantage. Hopefully, TGRS can learn a thing or two from neighboring journals like ISPRS and RSE about what it means to be a top-tier publication.

2023-4-5 major revision, two reviewers, one requesting additional content and references, the other focusing mainly on the effectiveness of each innovation point, requesting more comprehensive ablation experiments.
2023-6-20 submit revision, postponed for a month because I personally take time to warm up and need to carefully think things through. Added a large number of experiments, treated myself as a reviewer, and thought about how to convince myself. With the strong guidance of my supervisor, I successfully completed the revised manuscript.
2023-7-5 minor revision, the first reviewer suggested acceptance, the second reviewer requested further exploration of the novelty of the proposed modules.

During this period, I sent an email to the editor asking about the progress, and they replied that they had contacted over a dozen reviewers and finally found suitable ones, which took a considerable amount of time. The major revision was given three months, but it wasn't enough, so I applied for a 10-day extension.
07/11/2023 Revised and entered the second review. Currently waiting for the results of the second review. I'm not very satisfied with the changes made, so I'm worried that it might be rejected.
