I previously submitted a purely numerical simulation article, but three days later, the editor rejected it due to insufficient algorithmic innovation.

In October 2021, I submitted a purely experimental article, and it finally went through the review process. However, the review process was very long, and I didn't receive the major revision comments until the end of July this year. There were three reviewers who provided approximately 20 comments, and they were all very professional.

On September 14th, I submitted the revised comments, and after more than ten days of review, there was no need for a second revision. The article was directly accepted, taking a total of about 11 months.

The overall quality of the journal paper is good, but the review speed is average, and there may be a certain rejection rate.

PS: The impact factor has risen rapidly this year, showing great potential.

It delayed me for half a year. Everyone, don't be fooled. This is clearly a journal that favors personal connections. Maybe you need to have a good relationship with the editor-in-chief to have a quick and smooth process. Be cautious when submitting to journals with Chinese editors-in-chief!

Civil engineering, underground direction. I submitted several articles but all of them were rejected by the editor. The three rejection reasons: lack of innovation, poor language, and inconsistency with the theme. I submitted to TUST and they returned it, and when I submitted to this editor, they still didn't accept it.

Journals are very dedicated to transportation geotechnics, so be cautious when submitting papers that are not related to the research direction of transportation geotechnics.

The first-time experience of submitting to this journal was not very good. I submitted on January 28th and was in communication with the editor until February 23rd. They directly mentioned that the scope did not match, which wasted time. The editor-in-chief, Professor Erol Tutumluer from UIUC, is really slow in handling the process. In the short term, I don't think I will consider this journal again for my research outcomes.

The number of articles published in this journal each year is too low, and I noticed that Academician Chen Yunmin, the editor-in-chief, has published a lot as the first author. I assume they are all invited submissions. It was only indexed by SCI in 2018, which is why it is now only in the 2nd tier.
