Long wait in the middle
Received reviewer comments on 7.8, given the opportunity to revise, but no deadline for submitting the revised manuscript was mentioned. Three reviewers provided less than 20 comments, which were very helpful for revising the manuscript. Two questions were answered honestly even though they were not within the scope of the manuscript.
On 7.14, the editor urged for the revised manuscript and agreed to the request of submitting it before the 25th via email.
Returned on 7.24.
Accepted directly on 7.26.
The whole process took two and a half months, and overall, the efficiency was very high. Although it is an OA (Open Access) publication, the impact factor is gradually increasing. I hope it continues to improve.

Although this journal is open-source, there is a reason why it is now upgraded to the second tier of the Chinese Academy of Sciences. The level of the editors in finding reviewers is really high. With the editor for 1 week, under review for 5 weeks, with 4 reviewers - two positive and two negative - the editor rejected the submission. However, if we were to make the modifications according to the opinions of those two reviewers who rejected it, we would almost have to rewrite the article. Ah, what a frustrating submission experience.
