However, it has now been downgraded from Zone 1 to Zone 2 (after all, the impact factor and other objective indicators are not high). But as an author, there is no need to compare ND with MMT. The reason for the downgrade is because the Chinese Academy of Sciences is using a new algorithm, which seems to be called the Journal Citation Reports. It takes into account the level of each article in the journal's field. ND undoubtedly has very good quality articles, but it cannot be ignored that the annual publication volume is over 700, which inevitably leads to some articles lowering the zone of ND. However, luckily, there are top journals in the field of mechanical engineering like TRANSACTIONS ON MECHATRONICS. If you are worried about the journal being downgraded, you can try these journals. After all, the downgrade has a significant impact on everyone, especially for those who are not able to advance or leave.

There were a total of 7 reviewers in the first review, with over 80 comments provided, and a 3-month revision period was given. In the second review, only one reviewer had two explanatory questions and some image formatting issues, while the rest were suggestions for acceptance. Another 3-month revision period was given in the second review. Due to the concern of giving the impression of not taking the revision seriously if the response was too quick, intentionally delayed the submission by one week. Approximately half a month later, an acceptance email was received, taking a total of about 7 months.
