目标和范围
The Journal of the American Ceramic Society contains records of original research that provide insight into or describe the science of ceramic and glass materials and composites based on ceramics and glasses. These papers include reports on discovery, characterization, and analysis of new inorganic, non-metallic materials; synthesis methods; phase relationships; processing approaches; microstructure-property relationships; and functionalities. Of great interest are works that support understanding founded on fundamental principles using experimental, theoretical, or computational methods or combinations of those approaches. All the published papers must be of enduring value and relevant to the science of ceramics and glasses or composites based on those materials.

Papers on fundamental ceramic and glass science are welcome including those in the following areas:

Enabling materials for grand challenges[...]
Materials design, selection, synthesis and processing methods[...]
Characterization of compositions, structures, defects, and properties along with new methods [...]
Mechanisms, Theory, Modeling, and Simulation[...]
JACerS accepts submissions of full-length Articles reporting original research, in-depth Feature Articles, Reviews of the state-of-the-art with compelling analysis, and Rapid Communications which are short papers with sufficient novelty or impact to justify swift publication.

First time encountering three rounds of minor revisions. In the first round, there were two reviewers, and only one minor revision was required. The assistant editor provided some suggestions, and after making the revisions, the manuscript was resubmitted. In the second round, both reviewers approved it, but the assistant editor provided a bunch of suggestions. After spending four hours making the changes, it turned out that the assistant editor didn't even look at it and copied and pasted the original issues again. The editor requested another round of minor revisions. There was no choice but to resubmit it again. Fortunately, it was accepted two days later and managed to meet the scholarship deadline.

The reviewer spent about two weeks reviewing.
2021/1/25, Received comments from two reviewers. The first person said that the testing, theoretical explanation, and previous journal articles did not differ much, and suggested re-editing the article. They raised 15 questions. The second reviewer showed interest in the article and raised 10 questions. The questions were all concise and to the point. They provided many professional comments and suggestions.
2021/2/4, Submitted after making revisions. In order to avoid doubts from the first reviewer, some characterization tests were specifically added.
2021/2/24, The reviewer said that there were significant changes to the article, so a new review was conducted, and 10 additional minor questions were raised.
