Since its launch in 1946 by P. M. Doty, H. Mark, and C.C. Price, the Journal of Polymer Science has served the community as a forum for fundamental research on synthesis, chemistry, physics, and engineering of polymers. It ever evolved into a few sister journals to pace the development rhythm of polymer science.

From January 2020, the Journal of Polymer Science, Part A: Polymer Chemistry and Journal of Polymer Science, Part B: Polymer Physics are published as the single original title, the Journal of Polymer Science. It aims to provide a unified, inclusive, and dynamic forum for this rapidly developing multidisciplinary area. With a continuous value deemed to the chemistry, physics and engineering of polymers, it will extend its coverage to all aspects of polymer studies.

The Journal of Polymer Science has a 2022 Impact Factor of 3.4 (Journal Citation Reports (Clarivate Analytics, 2023)).

Manuscripts from Reviews to Perspectives and original Research Articles with outstanding novelty and in-depth investigations will be published after a rigorous peer-review process. Interdisciplinary and frontier topics are particularly appreciated.

Our editorial team consists of a mix of well-known academic editors and full-time professional editors who ensure fast, professional, fair, and high-quality peer review of all manuscripts. After publication, our team will work to ensure that your paper receives the recognition it deserves from your peers and the broader scientific community.

The three reviewers were very professional. They took a month and a half to respond with their review comments. They suggested significant revisions, but after making the necessary modifications, the paper was accepted within three days.

After more than a month of minor revisions following submission, the review process was moderate in duration. It was very good that the revised manuscript was quickly accepted after addressing the reviewers' comments.
